The old version of SciFinder (SciFinder Scholar) will be discontinued at the end of this year, on December 31, 2022. This means that if you haven’t done so already, you will need to switch over to the new interface of the SciFinder database, SciFinder-n, starting in 2023. More information about SciFinder-n is available here: https://guides.library.utoronto.ca/chemistry/Scifinder
If you were using the Saved Answer Sets & Alerts and SciPlanner functions in SciFinder Scholar and would like to retain access to this data, please follow the steps below to migrate/save it by the end of the year:
- Migrate Saved Answer Sets and Alerts: https://bit.ly/3VDMcMp (scroll down for instructions)
- Save SciPlanner Files: If you were using the SciPlanner tool to create synthesis plans, you will not be able to migrate these files to SciFinder-n. To download these files to your computer, 1) Open the SciPlanner tool from the homepage of SciFinder Scholar: https://scifinder-cas-org.myaccess.library.utoronto.ca/scifinder/. 2) Select the synthesis plan you would like to save from the panel on the right, then click Workspace > Export.
