MiRo-E Robot Programming Contest

Want to help us program Obi Bun Kenobi, the Engineering & Computer Science Library’s MiRo-E Robot?  Help us explore the programming possibilities of MiRo-E, now named Obi Bun Kenobi, by participating in the MiRo-E Robot Programming Contest with the opportunity to win a $250 CAD VISA gift card!

MiRo-E by Consequential Robotics is a programmable AI robotic platform, developed to mimic familiar domestic animal-like behaviour. MiRo-E can be programmed to move, feel, see, speak, hear, and interact with the environment in different ways! Not an expert programmer? No worries! MiRo-E can be programmed through Blockly (beginner) or Python (advanced) using the MiRoCODE simulator.

Contest Day

On Saturday October 1st 12:15 PM – 4:15 PM, your team will have three (3) hours to use the MiRoCODE simulator and program Obi Bun Kenobi using either Blockly or Python.

This is a hybrid event. Teams can choose to attend the event entirely online via Zoom or can attend the event at the Engineering & Computer Science Library and Zoom in from there. Attendees who come to the library will have a chance to meet with Obi Bun Kenobi before the event starts.
